Mini Biography: Dwayne Douglas Johnson also known by his ring name The Rock, is an American actor, producer and professional wrestler. Johnson was a college football player for the University of Miami, winning a national championship on the 1991 Miami Hurricanes football team. He later played for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League, and was cut two months into the 1995 season. This led him to become a professional wrestler like his grandfather, Peter Maivia, and his father, Rocky Johnson (from whom he also inherited his Canadian citizenship). Spencer decides he wants out of a relocation deal and instead tries to use ASM to help keep the team in Oakland. He persuades Joe, Mr. Anderson and Julian to back out of a merged offer with the other business group and invest in the city’s long term future. Then, he surprises the league with a charming appeal to keep the team in their city.
Melvin helps him with his new pitch by organizing a protest outside Spencer’s meetings, getting scores of team fans to show their support. ASM wins the bid for a stadium, but the win is bittersweet: The team is still moving to Las Vegas. Spencer won’t agree to any deal that moves the team, so he opts out of the revised offer and gets the Anderson brothers to invest additional capital into the expansion of their sports management business. ASM won’t be sold, they’re only growing.

Reggie helps Vernon convince the league to get his suspension reduced, showing off his natural and maturing negotiation skills. Then, Reggie helps Vernon’s Dallas teammate, star defensive end Dexter Baines, navigate a PR disaster.

Jason arranges an interview for Charles for a vacant GM position in Los Angeles. Charles impresses the organization that he has strategy and leadership savvy to improve their team over the long haul.

Ricky stops at Amber’s door to ensure her he’s committed to her and their child. He proves he’s ready to switch his priorities by announcing his retirement from football.

Before flying out to Oakland to get final approval on the stadium plan, Spencer talks to Chloe about their last encounter. Concerned about his decreasing fertility, Spencer asks Chloe not to take her morning-after pill. She questions his readiness and motives for fatherhood, and decides to take it.

Unfortunately for Spencer, he learns that Oakland is considering another relocation offer from a group endorsed by Candace and the league. Even Candace thinks Spencer should join forces with the competing offer — he won’t win on his own.

Spencer is further conflicted after spending time with his car driver, Melvin. An Oakland native, Melvin urges him to keep his integrity and drop the relocation plans.

Ricky gets close to finalizing a new contract with New England. But right before he signs the deal, he tells his coach about the concussion. Ricky’s concerned about playing footbal if it hurts his ability to be present for Amber and their unborn child.

Charles’ encounters Siefert packing up his office after his boss-turned-rival was fired by the team. Whatever boost Charles received from winning their year-long power struggle is quickly dashed when he finds out that he might lose his job, too.

Spencer’s doctor informs him that he isn’t infertile…yet. But, he’ll need to act soon if he wants kids. Later on with Chloe, he acts a little sooner than he intended.

New England wants Ricky to manage his mental health with medication. But Ricky fears the drugs will hurt his game. Dennis convinces him to take the pills and put his health before football.

Charles and Siefert are at odds on the direction of their team. Charles goes up the chain of command to share his concerns about Siefert’s decisions.

Joe takes the ASM team on a staff retreat while the company is being appraised. Word leaks to the team, forcing Spencer to come clean about his plans to sell the division. The entire staff, including Joe, is disenchanted with Spencer’s reasoning.

Anderson and Joe are ready to sell ASM to a larger firm, but Spencer fears that doing so would betray the trust of Ricky, Vernon, and the rest of their clients. Spencer is preparing to see the Vegas deal through, but Joe develops second thoughts.

Footage of Ricky’s altercation with the teen reaches the news. Jason thinks the league leaked it to retaliate against Spencer for his stadium deal. Spencer denies any wrongdoing, but regardless of how the video got out, Ricky’s new contract is in doubt. At the behest of his team, Ricky goes to see a psychologist to help him understand his volatile behavior.

Charles has a chance to interview for a GM opening. While updating Julie on the good news, he notices Ricky calling her cell phone. She warns Charles not to let his curiosity get the better of him, telling him, “If you respect my profession you will not ask Ricky why he called me.”

Spurned by his new teammates, Ricky stages his own private workout. Vernon looks for a second chance; tensions between Charles and Larry escalate after a tryout for Kisan.

Just as Spencer thinks his plans to bring football to Vegas are gaining momentum, Candace Brewer, an executive from the league office, requests a meeting. Candace is against the move, and doesn’t like Spencer, either. She warns him not to make an “enemy of the league.” He realizes he needs allies, so he promises Oakland that he’ll bring 300 million in private financing to ensure the team can move to the city.
Joe tries to talk Reggie out of endorsing High Powered. But during a meeting at the company headquarters, they both get high on their supply of designer weed candies.
After hiding from Amber fails, Ricky tries to prove that he’s not the father of her unborn child, but TTD proves that their first encounter lines up with the date her doctor says she conceived.
Charles is upset with Siefert after the GM takes credit for his ideas. He’s also frustrated by tension between Siefert and Coach Berg, and doesn’t want to get caught in the middle.
Jason tries to get Kisan Teague a new deal with Indianapolis, but Kisan’s involvement with some shady business dealings complicate negotiations.

Spencer works his charm on Vegas power players to open a door for a professional football team. Whether golfing with the mayor, or doing stunts in a monster truck, he’s determined to prove he’s got what it takes.
In between all the mingling, Spencer rekindles the flame with his former fiancee, Chloe Nash. Chloe works for Wayne Hastings, who’d be providing financing for the move.
Ricky and TTD travel to Vegas with Spencer to try to relieve some stress about Amber’s pregnancy. Dennis pressures Ricky into blowing off steam at the craps table, where he loses big.
While Spencer is preoccupied with his Vegas ventures, Joe maintains their client roster at ASM. His first order of business: convincing Reggie to scrap Vernon’s endorsement deal with the cannabis company High Powered so they don’t risk getting cut by Dallas.

Spencer owes Ricky for the $5 million loan he gave him for a stake in ASM, and is hustling to pay his friend/client back on time. He hopes that recruiting Steph Curry to the firm might be one way to ease his debt, but the basketball star cancels on Spencer right before their meeting. Instead, Mr. Anderson’s interest in casino tycoon Wayne Hasting’s gambling business gives Spencer a chance to pitch an ambitious venture: bringing football to Las Vegas.

Ricky’s got issues, too: his new girl, Amber, is pregnant. Ricky and Amber try to figure out how they fit into each other’s lives, while Ricky’s impending fatherhood has Spencer wondering how he’s avoided getting anyone pregnant himself, prompting a trip to the fertility clinic.

Charles likes working in Miami’s front office, but Larry Siefert’s unexpected changes to the organization have him worried about his future with the team.

Reggie lands Vernon a lucrative sponsorship with High Powered, a legal cannabis distributor. The money is good, but Vernon is concerned that promoting a weed business might disrupt his football career.

Pay Up

Spencer returns to ASM with a check for $11 million, but Anderson counters with a different deal: a percentage of the company if Spencer gets his registration taken care of.

Grievances

While getting a shot for the pain in his hip, Spencer gets a call from his friend Clyde at the players’ association to talk about his registration. Spencer finds out a grievance was filed against him by former player Eddie George. Spencer persuades Clyde to tell him where Eddie is, and Spencer heads to the rookie symposium to find him. Joe surprises Spencer by meeting him on the plane.

Promotion

Siefert tells Charles he wants to promote him and asks if the increased travel load will be an issue. Charles tells him it won’t be a problem.

CheckMate

Arriving at the hotel for the symposium, Spencer immediately goes to find Eddie. His former friend is still furious over losing everything from Spencer’s real estate venture with Andre and refuses to hear him out. Having played their final move, Spencer and Joe spends the evening partying at a local strip club.

Heartfelt Apology

A mess from the night before, Spencer takes the hotel conference room stage to talk to a room full of rookies. He makes a public apology to Eddie and walks off. Travis leads the room in enthusiastic applause that starts to grow, but Spencer is nowhere to be found.

New Horizons

Vernon heads to Dallas, where he meets his competition for his position. He’s determined to prove himself the better man.

Ricky’s Big Break

TTD and Dennis argue about Ricky’s future when the phone rings. Ricky meets up with a few New England players to run drills. Jason tells Ricky the team is offering $1.5 million for the season.

Spencer’s Medical Problems

Alone at the Sports Medicine Center, Spencer signs in for his hip replacement surgery.
