On Ballers this week, we see a friendship compromised, a new friendship begin and coming to terms with your past.

Ballers opens up with Spencer visiting Vernon Littlefield to tell him that Angela was paid and that all of the pictures have been recovered. Spencer also informs him that a deal is on the table for him to play ball. Vernon is excited to hear this and he expresses how grateful he is. Meanwhile, Reggie gets upset and tries to downplay Spencer helping out Vernon by blaming him for Vernon’s downfalls. Spencer then lets Vernon know what Reggie has been up too. Vernon then tells Reggie that he has to leave.

Spencer informs Vernon that the deal that was offered was time sensitive and they needed an answer. Vernon tells them that he needs to clean his car out. His emotions are high after the incident.

Spencer revisits his doctor for a follow up after his CT results. His doctor tells him that everything is fine and he has a clean bill of health. He calls his nightmares flashbacks and insists that they are no big deal. He now sees the guy whose career he ended all over TV in ads and commercials.

Spencer purposefully wrecks his car so he can call Dan, the guy whose career he ended, to apologize. He waits on Dan to show up and when he does, he is not happy to see him. Spencer tells him he only needs a ride. Dan gives him a ride. Inside Spencer still tries to communicate and Dan says he doesn’t want to talk about it. Dan’s wife and son Adam walk in and Spencer invites Dan and Adam to the baseball game tonight.

Spencer tells Joe he can’t go to the game because he invited someone else. Joe thinks its a woman and Spencer denies. Joe thinks its Mr. Anderson and Spencer denies.

Spencer, Dan and Adam show up at the game. Dan thinks Spencer is doing it to rub his lifestyle in his face. Spencer tells him if he wants he will leave him be, but Dan somewhat apologies and promises to ease up.

Ballers is down to the wire. There are only two episodes left. You can catch up with Ballers on the HBO Now app or our Sendvid video channel.

This week Ballers was very entertaining as usual. Spencer and Joe are still dealing with the aftermath of the yacht party that they put on for new recruitment.

Spencer gets his results from his MRI this week. The doctor tells Spencer that he is very healthy and that his symptoms might be psychological, but he is not trying to pay attention to that.

After Mr. Anderson receives videos and photos from the yacht party from Angie, he plays them for Spencer and Joe.
Spencer agrees finally to pay Angie a visit in person and fix the issue.

This week Ballers opens up with a look of the guys in Spencer’s kitchen. Spencer had just cooked breakfast. Spencer is seated at his table with Joe, Vernon and Reggie. They are talking about the picture of Vernon that surfaced. Maximo wants big cash for the picture and Vernon isn’t set on paying her. Spencer surprises everyone at the table and says he will pay the debt and Vernon will pay him back when he settles his contract. As we take a closer look at Spencer’s wardrobe, we see him wearing his father’s custom shirt. This is his way of paying tribute to his father.

Ok back to the show. Spencer pays Tina a visit. Tina (played by LeToya Luckett) is Rodney’s widow. Rodney died on episode one in a head on collision. Spencer heads over to Tina’s house and brings her a dish. She hands Spencer Rodney’s ashes and tells him to deal with it.

Spencer and Joe meet up with Maximo to pay for Vernon’s photo. Maximo tells Spencer that the lady in charge wants to meet face to face with Spencer. He angrily declines. Spencer is distracted driving down the highway and Rodney’s ashes spill all over the floor. He places Rodney’s urn in a seatbelt as he continues on his journey.

Spencer and Charles finds out Ricky has gotten into trouble and go to diffuse the situation. Spencer and Charles then go to the field to lay Rodney to rest.

They wanted to know if they could borrow his yacht for a high end event for their newest recruits… Spencer and Joe throw one of the biggest parties. At the party, Vernon Littlefield tells Spencer that he needs to start getting along with his financial overseer Reggie. Spencer meets up with his female companion and tells her that he has grown since she bailed on him.

As Ballers ended last week, we saw Spencer was at the ATM attempting to get cash only to find out that he had insufficient funds. His female companion asks if everything is ok and he simply reassures her that it is.

Episode 2 begins with Spencer walking into his office having a conversation with a Mrs. Loanstein. Joe walks up and joins in on the conversation and privately asks Spencer into his office. Going into the office, Joe asks Spencer if he saw the clip Ricky did. Joe wants Spencer to stop playing small ball and to climb into the big leagues. Spencer tells Joe that he verbally signed one of the biggest players Vernon Littlefield. He then informs him that the paperwork isn’t all the way in the door. Joe wants Littlefield signed ASAP.

SummerSlam 2002 saw Brock Lesnar and The Rock go head to head in one of the most anticipated matches of that time. Brock tried to play mind games with THe Rock a few times but it didn’t work. Ballers premiered on HBO last night and to sum it up in one word, the word would be Wow. From beginning to end the show had you. In the beginning it showed how loss can affect someone and by the end it showed that when you think you have done right by someone you will end up rethinking your actions. Bravo to the whole team that put Ballers together. If you missed out on the pilot check out the video below.
